The main problem with Challenge Mode is that it provides no benefit whatsoever to normal gameplay, it just makes things way harder with no assistance. I recall positive modifiers were conceptualized for Challenge Mode to make things more fair, but things have yet to change on that front. It's a difficult mode, certainly, but if you want to increase Gungeon's difficulty while keeping things fun, Blessed/Cursed/Turbo is the way to go. Beyond that there's a Sandbox mode where you can do, well, pretty much anything you want. Poly Bridge(Dry Cactus Limited, $14.99USD) - An intriguing engineering / puzzle game already out on PC and smart devices, it t has a campaign of 105 levels in which you need to construct increasingly extravagant - and solid - bridges within a budget. Thankfully the Switch gets a well optimised version of the 3D platformer that also addresses issues from the initial launch we were very impressed with it in our Yooka-Laylee review.
